Week 12.5: Loved.

Hi little upside down one! You are so incredibly loved.

Hi little upside down one!

Earlier this week, I had a very woe-is-me, raw, honest, heart all torn and sad update. I was also for some reason, so very nervous about our 12 week scan/visit because so so much rides on this one very little but very significant visit.

A little milestone that we survived our first trimester (though I did find out today that technically, it’s only at 14 weeks since you don’t really count the first 2 weeks…WHAT?!!?), that our little poppy seed hung on and grew and it was finally, significantly, safer to share with our world.

Week 8: Holy Nausea Batman.

Holy moly little one! We can't tell what anything is but we think this little blob is pretty exciting! :)

Holy moly little one! We can’t tell what anything is but we think this little blob is pretty exciting! 🙂

Welcome to week 8! 🙂 EIGHT!!!

Highlights:

* We went in for another scan and checkup, this time with my mom and J and sweet Winnie all tagging along and we oohed and ahhed and gushed at the precious little one who had a strong heartbeat(!!) and is measuring at a whopping 1.01cm!

She readjusted the due date again and this time the measurements came to April 13,2015! One more scan in four weeks and she thinks she might have a more accurate and definite projected “due date” for us but for now, we’re looking at anywhere from April 3-13.

* After thinking and thinking and deliberating about it, J and I finally decided to share the news with some close friends and family.

Best friends are the kind that passionately advocate for a very important ice cream cone from across the street.

Week 6: Be Still

You can barely see our little poppy seed but the Dr explained to the newbies that the big black hole as the baby’s “house” for the next nine months. Hello little one!

We got some good news and some bad news, and I feel the axis of my world spin just a little off kilter as I learn to surrender.

Our little poppy seed is still hanging in there and measuring just a little under but still on track. The worrisome thing is that I’ve had a lot of cramping in the last couple of days, prolonged bouts of steady pain that occasionally increases and it worries our doctor because it signals that the uterus is contracting and trying to expel.

She doesn’t like that it occasionally keeps me up or that I don’t really get a break so she’s started me on some Dydrosgesterone hoping that it will calm my uterus down.

CALM YOUH TITS, UTERUS!!!
